With the Presidential Election quickly approaching, it's important for the students to be informed about what is happening in our country. Last week, third, fourth, and fifth graders came to the library to do some initial research about the voting process. They took learning into their own hands and discovered what voting was like in the past, who is able to vote now, and what requirements are placed on citizens who are hoping to vote. They took their new knowledge and turned it into a quick product that showed their new information. It was neat to see all the different things they learned.

Our election lessons will continue over the next two weeks with introductions of "candidates" for our campus mock election on November 8th. I can't wait to see if the students favor Duck or Grace!
