Read Across America Day!

Yesterday was Read Across America Day (Dr. Seuss' Birthday)! We celebrated at Union Hill by dressing up as our favorite book characters! There were lots of great book characters wandering the halls! Below you'll see that Mrs. Orgeta was Cindy Lou Who from How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Mrs. Houston was Astrid from this year's Bluebonnet Award Winner, Roller Girl, and Mrs. Heidi was Fern from Charlotte's Web.

We also celebrated with members of the office and library staff performing a reader's theater of Yertle the Turtle. The kids loved it! Check out our Oscar worthy performance here!
